Part of our Bejeweled Stories series: to make this collection come alive, I wrote the short story, about mothers, daughters, birthdays, and memories. This jewel is based on the work of Gustave Caillebotte: Paris Street; A Rainy Day, in the Chicago Art Institute. The muted colors, the off stage action to the left, and of course the beautiful TINY earring of the smiling woman in the piece... one of my faves.
